Yay!!!! I finished!! Pretty happy with my time of 2:34:20, considering I haven't been able to run more than 4 miles in over 6 weeks. (My other half was 2:16:07.)
It was 21 degrees this morning!! When we started you could see jackets and layers of clothing being thrown everywhere. The crowd was pumpe. Had a ton of people hollering for me along the way "Go, Sparkley Skirt!" I was pretty numb from the waist down so no IT Band trouble, thankfully. Just tired.
Seeing the 10 mile mark really pumped me up. I knew I was in the home stretch then. It's such an amazing feeling to encourage and be encouraged by complete strangers along the way. And it felt so good to finish!!!!!
